The Bolton Arms is just off the coast-to-coast walk at Marske, the area is an excellent walking area and scenery with many historic castles to be explored.

Why not visit one of the neighbouring market towns such as Richmond, Reeth, Leyburn and Hawes or one of the bigger towns such as Darlington, Northallerton and Skipton. All of which have weekly outdoor markets, supermarkets and local shops with a variety of gifts, handicrafts and local products to buy.

With a short drive you could visit Ripon is under an hour (where you can visit Fountains Abbey and Ripon Cathedral) and Historic Spa Town Harrogate is just over an hour, where you can eat at the first Betty’s Tea Room which opened in 1919

Or if you fancy a longer drive, York is just over two hours, Whitby is just under two hours away and Leeds is over an hour away.
